KEY POINTS

Gross value quarterly original movements for June 2016:
  • The gross value of pig slaughtered increased for another quarter, up 9.1 percent in June to $368 million.
  • After a 3.7 percent decrease in gross value last quarter poultry slaughtered rose 5.9 percent this quarter to $707 million.
  • Conversely, after a small increase last quarter the gross value of sheep and lambs slaughtered decreased 4.4 percent in the June quarter, down to $803 million.
