INDEX STRUCTURES & WEIGHTING PATTERNS

Composition

The indexes are fixed weight indexes. The items included in the indexes reflect the values of commodity flows, both for commodities produced domestically and
for imports, allocated to stages based on analysis of detailed 1996-97 Input-Output tables.

The 1996-97 values have been revalued to reflect the price levels of the reference year (1998-99).
