CHANGES IN THIS ISSUE
CHANGES TO STATISTICS PRESENTED ON A COUNTRY BASIS
From this issue, there are changes to the ABS trade country classification which will impact on time series spreadsheets and data cubes. The changes result from the recognition of new countries by the United Nations and the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and changes to the Developing Countries category to align with Developing Countries list in Schedule 1 of the Customs Tariff Act 1995.
INTRODUCTION OF NEW COUNTRIES
Two new countries 'South Sudan' and 'Sudan' will be added to the time series Table 2 and Data Cubes 8 and 9 containing all countries. The country previously known as Sudan will have its label amended to 'Former Sudan' and will cease at the September 2012 reference month. The ordering of countries has been affected for all country tables.
