Main Features Analysis and Comments Revisions Changes in this issue Related releases Value adjustments About this Release Australia records trade surplus of $555m in April (Media Release)	CHANGES IN THIS ISSUE THE IMPACT OF CYCLONE DEBBIE The impact of Cyclone Debbie has resulted in a significant decrease in export quantities of coal in April 2017. An adjustment has been applied on a balance of payments basis to the 'coal, coke and briquettes' component for April 2017 in order to stabilise the trend estimate for goods credits. The ABS will continue to monitor this series. This adjustment will prevent trend estimates from being biased by this unusual original estimate and help stabilise seasonal factor estimates.
