Between 2008–09 and 2017–18, the victimisation rate declined for the following personal crime types in South Australia: total assault – 6.0% to 4.4% total threatened assault – 4.2% to 2.8% face-to-face threatened assault – 4.0% to 2.6%. HOW HAVE HOUSEHOLD CRIME VICTIMISATION RATES CHANGED OVER TIME?* Between 2008–09 and 2017–18, the victimisation rate declined for all selected household crime types in South Australia: break-in – 3.2% to 2.0% attempted break-in – 2.7% to 1.9% theft from a motor vehicle – 4.3% to 2.8% malicious property damage – 12% to 4.2% other theft – 4.9% to 2.1%.
