Those who provide care to older people or people with disabilities or long-term health conditions make a significant contribution to the lives of those they care for. Caring can also be very rewarding for the carer, however, the time taken to care for someone can impact on the carer's ability to work and their opportunities to participate in the community, work and study. Caring can also have an effect on a carer's own health and wellbeing.
