The Census Night ratio for Paroo was 114. For the population of people under 50 yeas of age, Census Night and usual resident populations are very close in size, resulting in a Census Night ratio of 100 for this age group. The Census Night ratio for people aged 50 years and over in Paroo was 140, which is the combined effect of a smaller number of usual residents in this age group and a larger number of people on Census Night.
