The Census Night ratio for Whitsunday was 121. Although the difference between Census Night ratios for males and females was very small, Whitsunday was unusual in that the Census Night ratio for females (122) was higher than that of males (120). There was a spike in the number of persons in both sexes aged 20 to 29 years, who comprised 16% of the Census Night population. The Census Night ratio for this group was 131.
