Mining support services and exploration businesses declined across all key performance indicators in 2014-15. Contraction across the Mining industry and falling prices for major commodities resulted in reduced demand for Exploration and other mining support services .

Total capital expenditure continued to decline for the Exploration and other mining support services industry, decreasing to $2.6b in 2014-15.
