The more important classifications with which the ANZSIC is compared are the ASIC and the NZSIC, which it replaces, and the ISIC, which is the international standard.
These concordances have been prepared at a broad level. They are formatted by placing the structure of the reference classification on the left and the categories which align with the reference category on the right. A 'p' after an aligned code indicates that only part of the aligned category matches the reference category.
For some categories there is no match, for example the NZSIC contains no category for bauxite mining and therefore has no equivalent to the class for bauxite mining in the ANZSIC.
Detailed differences in the treatment of activities will be included in separate publications.
