BUILDING APPROVALS The trend estimate for Australia rose 0.8% in February. In seasonally adjusted terms the estimate rose 8.3% to 18,995 dwellings. NUMBER OF PRIVATE SECTOR HOUSES The trend estimate for private sector houses approved fell 0.6% in February. In seasonally adjusted terms the estimate rose 5.3% to 9,330 houses. NUMBER OF PRIVATE SECTOR DWELLINGS EXCLUDING HOUSES The trend estimate for private sector dwelling units excluding houses rose 2.4% in February. In seasonally adjusted terms the estimate rose 10.9% to 9,381 dwellings. VALUE OF NEW RESIDENTIAL BUILDING The trend estimate for the value of new residential building approved rose 1.5% in February and has risen for two months. VALUE OF ALTERATIONS AND ADDITIONS TO RESIDENTIAL BUILDING The trend estimate for the value of alterations and additions to residential building rose 1.0% in February and has risen for six months. VALUE OF NON-RESIDENTIAL BUILDING The trend estimate for the value of non-residential building approved fell 3.3% in February and has fallen for six months.
