ABS publications draw extensively on information provided freely by individuals, businesses, governments and other organisations. This project was partially funded in 2013-14 through the former Strategic Cross-Sectoral Data Committee for Early Childhood, Education and Training, to which the Australian Government Department of Education, the ABS, and each of the states and territories previously contributed to. This committee, which previously operated within the COAG Education Council governance structure, was responsible for supporting improvements to cross-sectoral education and training data and facilitating measurement of learning over the life-course through data sharing and data integration. This committee was disbanded in September 2014.
