Tasmanian agriculture supports a broad range of livestock-based production. The Tasmanian sheep industry produces ultra high quality fine wool, sheep for live export and meat for foreign and domestic markets. The Tasmanian cattle industry produces meat for foreign and domestic markets and milk for domestic consumption and as inputs for further processing into high quality cheeses and butter.
