ABOUT THIS RELEASE

A brief overview of the prevalence of injuries received in the four weeks prior to the interview for the 2001 National Health Survey, the type of injury, the most common form of injury, the activity at the time of injury, the part of the body affected and the action taken. Risk factors, disabilities as a result of injury and mortality information are also included using other data sources such as the Survey of Disability, Ageing and Carers and the ABS Causes of Death collection.
