Beef production decreased 2% to 524 thousand tonnes in the year to the June quarter 2009. MUTTON AND LAMB While mutton production decreased 17% to 55 thousand tonnes in the year to the June quarter 2009, lamb production increased 7% to 109 thousand tonnes. PIG MEAT Pig meat production decreased 11% to 79 thousand tonnes in the year to the June quarter 2009. TOTAL RED MEAT Total red meat production dropped 3% to 774 thousand tonnes over the year to the June quarter 2009.
