This publication presents analytical living cost indexes for selected Australian household types. These price indexes are designed specifically to measure the impact of changes in prices on the out-of-pocket living costs experienced by four household types: Employee households; Age pensioner households; Other government transfer recipient households; Self-funded retiree households.

From the September quarter 2012, this product is going to be amalgamated with Pensioner and Beneficiary Living Cost Index (cat. no. 6467.0). From that time, the product Selected Living Cost Indexes, Australia (cat. no. 6467.0) will become the main product for living cost indexes.

From the September quarter 2012, statistics from this product will be available in Selected Living Cost Indexes, Australia (6467.0).
