MUTTON AND LAMB
Mutton production in the March quarter 2010 decreased 11% to 42 thousand tonnes compared to the previous quarter. Lamb production decreased 3% to 101 thousand tonnes in the March quarter 2010 compared to the previous quarter.
PIG MEAT
In the March quarter 2010, pig meat production remained little changed compared to the previous quarter, at 83 thousand tonnes.
TOTAL RED MEAT
Total red meat production fell 3% to 734 thousand tonnes in the March quarter 2010 compared to the previous quarter.
