KEY POINTS
Gross value quarterly original movements for September 2017:
- The gross value of sheep and lambs decreased 3.4% to $958 million following a 2.3% increase in the June 2017 quarter.
- After a 7.8% increase last quarter, the gross value of cattle and calves increased a further 1.0% in the September 2017 quarter.
- After decreasing 3.3% last quarter, the gross value of pigs continued to decrease, dropping a further 2.7% to $326 million.
- The gross value of poultry marginally increased (up 1.1%) to $695 million, following a 0.8% increase in the June 2017 quarter.
