1. 'Main source of income' is the variable that identifies the source from which a person, or other statistical unit, receives the largest amount of their income.

2. This document is intended to be read in conjunction with the 'Total income' standard which supplies the question modules and the Classification, as well as the standard for 'Sources of income'.
