Description The survey collects information about the health status of Australians, their use of health services and facilities and health-related aspects of their lifestyle. Data for the 1995 survey were collected by personal interview of residents of a sample of 23,800 private dwellings (houses, flats) and non-private dwellings (hotels, boarding houses). Data Detail In relation to transport, data are available on vehicle accident and travel (as a place of occurrence of injury). Geographic Coverage Australia. Frequency of Data Availability The survey was formerly conducted every five years. The last survey was conducted in 1995. The future frequency of the survey is under review. Historical Data The survey was conducted in 1977-78, 1983, 1989-90 and 1995.
