MAIN TYPE OF BROADBAND CONNECTION USED
The most commonly reported broadband connection type used was Digital Subscriber Line (DSL), with 77% of broadband users identifying this as their main connection type. Cable as the main type of broadband connection was most prevalent among businesses with 200 or more persons employed, at 34%, more than double the proportion of any other employment size group. Businesses in Wholesale trade were most likely to report DSL as the main type of broadband connection (86%). The industry with the lowest proportion of businesses with DSL as the main type of broadband connection was Construction, at 70%. This industry recorded the highest proportion of businesses with a fixed wireless broadband connection (10%).
