Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for the ABS Graduate Development Program you must be an Australian citizen or will be a citizen by January 2014 when the program begins and:
- have completed by January 2014 an undergraduate or postgraduate degree from a recognised Australian educational institution; or
- if your only tertiary qualification/s were obtained overseas, you must provide a certificate of equivalence from the National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition (NOOSR) stating that your qualification is equivalent to an undergraduate or postgraduate degree from a recognised Australian educational institution. You must also:
- be of good character as evidenced by a satisfactory criminal history check (a police clearance is required for new employees)
- be medically fit to undertake the duties of the job.
