Eligibility


To be eligible to apply for the ABS Graduate Development Program you must satisfy the citizenship and qualification requirements outlined below:


Citizenship Requirements

  • You must be an Australian citizen or will be a citizen by January 2014 when the program begins; successful candidates will be required to submit their Australian Citizenship Certificate as evidence of their citizenship status

Education Requirements

  • You must have completed a minimum of an Australian recognised undergraduate degree within three years of the program commencing (that is, you would have graduated from a tertiary institution in 2011 or later).
    *If your only tertiary qualification/s were obtained overseas, you must provide a certificate of equivalence from the National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition (NOOSR) stating that your qualification is equivalent to an undergraduate or postgraduate degree from a recognised Australian educational institution. Health and Character Clearance

You must also:

        • be of good character as evidenced by a satisfactory criminal history check (a police clearance is required for new employees)
        • be medically fit to undertake the duties of the job.
