Are you planning a library display? Do you provide information literacy sessions? Does your library have a newsletter or blog?
We encourage and assist libraries to promote ABS resources and services.
Ideas for promotions
You might want to try some of these ideas in your library:
- include a latest releases update, or 'statistics spot' in your library newsletter or blog
- feature a 'website of the day/ week/ month' and promote how to find ABS data
- include your local community profile data on your website.
Using ABS data
If you wish to place any ABS data on a non-charging, publicly accessible website, you can do so without payment of licence fees or royalties.
If you wish to place more than 500 data items on such a website you will need to enter into a licencing agreement with the ABS. This agreement is cost-free and can be obtained by emailing intermediary.management@abs.gov.au.
All data must be sourced to the ABS and we ask that you also provide a link (via an icon) to the ABS website. This icon can be obtained by emailing the address above.
