WHAT IS A SECONDARY DISTRIBUTOR?
A secondary distributor is an organisation or individual who provides Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) data in their own products or services. ABS encourages this. We want to see our statistics widely used as this contributes to our mission of assisting and encouraging informed decision making, research and discussion.
DO I NEED A LICENCE TO DISTRIBUTE ABS DATA?
Distribution of data downloaded free from the ABS website is covered by the Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 Australia licence. Most customised data requests and customised subscription products are also covered by this licence. All customised products will be be delivered with licence details included. Where no licence is indicated full Copyright will apply. More details can be found in the ABS Copyright statement.
