Palmerston residents drive the way
More people living in Palmerston travelled to work by car than anywhere else in Northern Territory (75 per cent), according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS).
This is just one fact you can find in the online regional profiles updated today. This product includes local government areas and other small regions in Northern Territory.
"With over 3,000 regions available, people will be easily able to locate data and build their own stories," Ms Conolly said.
Regional information is available over a five year period up to 2011, so local communities can track changes over time in the characteristics of their areas.
A map interface makes finding regions very easy. To get started, just click on the ‘National Regional Profile’ link on the ABS website, www.abs.gov.au.
These documents will be presented in a new window.
