OVERVIEW
Presents estimates of the direct contribution of the non-profit institutions sector to the Australian economy within the context of a satellite account linked to the Australian System of National Accounts. The publication shows the contribution of non-profit institutions, classified to type of non-profit institution and principal non-profit activities, to major economic aggregates such as gross domestic product (GDP). In addition, data on employment in non-profit institutions and the contribution of volunteer labour, in terms of full time equivalent employment valued at market rates of pay is presented.
PURPOSE
The Non-profit Institutions Satellite Account provides users with an extended view of the important contribution that non-profit institutions make to the economy.

Tabulates the economic activity of non-profit institutions as a satellite account to the Australian national accounts
