ABOUT THIS RELEASE

The publication is a guide for Medical Practitioners in completing Medical Certificates of Cause of Death. It is designed to assist Medical Practitioners in the accurate completion of the Medical Certificate of Cause of Death. Sufficiently detailed cause of death information ensures accurate and timely cause of death data is available to data users and frees medical practitioners from the burden of answering queries relating to incomplete or inadequate documentation on the certificate. Included in the publication is a death certification quick reference guide.
