Information about this product

Purpose

The purpose of the Labour Force Survey Standard Products and Data Item Guide (cat. no. 6103.0), to be referred to as LFS Guide, is as a reference guide for users of Labour Force Survey (LFS) standard products, namely:

• Labour Force, Australia, (cat. no. 6202.0);
• Labour Force, Australia, Detailed - Electronic Delivery (cat. no. 6291.0.55.001);
• Labour Force, Australia, Detailed, Quarterly (cat. no. 6291.0.55.003); and
• Labour Force, Australia: Labour Force Status and Other Characteristics of Families - Electronic Delivery (cat. no. 6224.0.55.001).

The current issue will be a live, developing document with revisions made as changes occur to the LFS standard products over time.

How to use the guide

The LFS Guide is divided into three sections.

• Section 1. Labour Force Survey standard product data

The first section itemises all data contained within the LFS standard products, an explanation of each data item including relevant formats and product location.

• Section 2. Detailed Information on Labour Force Survey standard products

The second section contains detailed information about the LFS standard products and specifies the data items contained within each spreadsheet and datacube.

• Section 3. Labour Force Survey data item list

The third section details data items from the LFS and their location in the LFS standard products.
