STOCKS OF BARLEY AND SELECTED OTHER GRAINS AND PULSES

In September 2010, there were 397 thousand tonnes of barley stored by wheat users in Australia, a decrease of 249 thousand tonnes from the June 2010 quarter. Victorian wheat users held the greatest amount of barley in September 2010, storing 175 thousand tonnes, followed by New South Wales with 135 thousand tonnes.

There were 277 thousand tonnes of selected other grains and pulses stored by wheat users in Australia in September 2010, a decrease of 147 thousand tonnes from June 2010. Wheat users in New South Wales held the greatest amount, storing 84 thousand tonnes, followed by Queensland with 68 thousand tonnes.
