INTRODUCTION

The methodology used to produce the estimates in this publication can also be used to produce estimates of the non-Indigenous population and total civilian population. Two tables are available in Downloads that compare these estimates for 2009:

There are a number of considerations when making comparisons between the labour force characteristics of Indigenous and non-Indigenous people.
