COMPARISONS WITH NON-INDIGENOUS ESTIMATES

<< Previous Section: Unemployment

INTRODUCTION

The methodology used to produce the estimates in this publication can also be used to produce estimates of the non-Indigenous population and total civilian population. Two tables are available in Downloads that compare these estimates for 2009:
  • Table 6. - Comparison of Indigenous and non-Indigenous estimates, Labour force status by Sex and Remoteness - 2009
  • Table 7. - Comparison of Indigenous and non-Indigenous estimates, Labour force status by Sex and State - 2009

There are a number of considerations when making comparisons between the labour force characteristics of Indigenous and non-Indigenous people.

This section contains the following subsection :
      Comparisons with non-Indigenous Population
      Comparisons with total population estimates
