BUILDING APPROVALS AUSTRALIA The trend estimate for Australia rose 0.8% in July. In seasonally adjusted terms the estimate fell 17.3% to 11,306 dwellings. NUMBER OF PRIVATE SECTOR HOUSES The trend estimate for private sector houses approved was flat in July. In seasonally adjusted terms the estimate rose 1.6% to 7,329 houses. NUMBER OF PRIVATE SECTOR DWELLINGS EXCLUDING HOUSES The trend estimate for private sector dwelling units excluding houses rose 1.7% in July. In seasonally adjusted terms the estimate fell 40.5% to 3,738 dwellings. VALUE OF NEW RESIDENTIAL BUILDING The trend estimate for the value of new residential building approved fell 0.2% in July after rising for 5 months. VALUE OF ALTERATIONS AND ADDITIONS TO RESIDENTIAL BUILDING The trend estimate for the value of alterations and additions to residential building fell 0.4% in July and has fallen for 14 months. VALUE OF NON-RESIDENTIAL BUILDING The trend estimate for the value of non-residential building approved fell 0.2% in July after rising for 5 months.
