In December 2009, there were 2.3 million tonnes of barley stored by wheat users in Australia. Wheat users in Victoria held the greatest amount, storing 758 thousand tonnes, followed by New South Wales with 605 thousand tonnes.

There were 1.5 million tonnes of selected other grains and pulses stored by wheat users in Australia in December 2009. Wheat users in New South Wales held the greatest amount, storing 423 thousand tonnes, followed by Queensland with 323 thousand tonnes.

Wheat users in Australia used 665 thousand tonnes of barley in the December quarter 2009. Victorian wheat users recorded the highest use of barley at 331 thousand tonnes, followed by New South Wales with 143 thousand tonnes, and South Australia with 108 thousand tonnes.

Wheat users in Australia used 445 thousand tonnes of selected other grains and pulses in the December quarter 2009. Queensland recorded the highest use of selected other grains and pulses at 164 thousand tonnes, followed by Victoria at 127 thousand tonnes.
