The feature article: Trends in employee methods of setting pay and jurisdictional coverage provides the latest information on methods of setting pay, as well as trends over time. It focuses on employees in the federal jurisdiction for pay-setting and presents information on a range of job characteristics, including industry, occupation and full-time/part-time status. Finally, this article explores the distribution of employee earnings for each of the methods of setting pay for those in the federal jurisdiction. The fact sheet: Employment classifications describes three different classifications that the ABS uses to differentiate between types of employment: Status in Employment; Employment Type; and Form of Employment. The fact sheet compares these classifications and provides an explanation of their intended uses, as well as their limitations.
