NATIONAL CENTRE FOR VOCATIONAL EDUCATION RESEARCH (NCVER)
NAME OF COLLECTION
National Apprentice and Trainee Collection
The National Apprentice and Trainee Collection contains information on all persons employed under a training contract and includes both apprentices and trainees.
In some cases, the state training authority in each state or territory is responsible for both the administration of training contracts and the collection of apprentice and trainee data. In other cases, the administration of training contracts has been outsourced to other organisations. The state training authority remains the organisation responsible for the provision of apprentice and trainee data to the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER).
Data are reported quarterly and consolidated annually.
The National Apprentice and Trainee Collection is compiled under the Australian Vocational Education and Training Management Information and Statistical Standard.
