Partner Allowance is intended to provide adequate income for partners of income-support recipients who face barriers to finding employment because of their previous limited participation in the workforce.
As at 1 June 2001, there were 20.1 recipients of Partner Allowance per 1,000 persons in the local government area of Break O'Day. Tasmania as a whole recorded 7.6 recipients per 1,000 persons.
