A Confidentialised Unit Record File (CURF) covering all three years of the survey is available. Release schedule Results were published in the year following each wave, with the final publication incorporating data for all three years of the survey. Seven Occasional Papers, written by SEUP Research Fellows, have been published since the survey was finalised. DATA ITEMS Information collected from the survey are of two types: data items relating to point in time, and data items relating to a particular episode. Some data are available for each State and Territory, and Section of State (capital city, major urban, other urban, and rural). METHOD OF COLLECTION Recruitment of the initial sample for the survey and the collection of baseline socio-demographic characteristics commenced in April 1995. Following this, the sample was visited each September from 1995 to 1997. TIMING OF COLLECTION Reference Period September 1994 to September 1997. This reference period was split into 3 collection waves: Wave 1 - 5 September 1994 to 3 September 1995; Wave 2 - 4 September 1995 to 1 September 1996; and Wave 3 - 2 September 1996 to 31 August 1997. Frequency of Collection The Survey of Employment and Unemployment Patterns tracked the employment (or unemployment) history of the same group of people over three years, from September 1994 till September 1997.
