DESCRIPTION
Australian Social Trends (AST) presents information on contemporary social issues and areas of public policy in an annual publication. First published in 1994, AST examines social issues and monitors social change using a wide range of social statistics, both ABS and external. Each edition of AST includes a chapter on the following major areas of social concern: population, family and community, health, education and training, work, economic resources, housing and other areas of social concern.
Recent education and training articles from AST include:
- Education expenditure - Paying for university education.
- Education and work - Higher education graduates in the labour market.
- Participation in education - Attending preschool.
National and State summary tables provide a 10-year time series for an extensive range of indicators within each area of social concern. International summary tables present key indicators in the areas of population, health, education and work.
