The mobility of people between different labour market states and benefit receipt is explored. Specifically the questions addressed are: What are the characteristics associated with the different labour market states and benefit receipt? Who is at risk of long term unemployment? What are the effect of the benefits on unemployment duration? What characteristics affect the subsequent employment duration? What characteristics are associated with labour market churning?
