TREND ESTIMATES

The trend estimate for short-term visitor arrivals to Australia for February 2008 (468,700 movements) changed little compared with January 2008 (469,100 movements). Over the last fifteen months the trend estimate has remained stable.


Short-term visitor arrivals decreased 1.2% since February 2007.

SEASONALLY ADJUSTED ESTIMATES

The seasonally adjusted estimate for short-term visitor arrivals to Australia for February 2008 (472,200 movements) increased by 1.4% compared with January 2008 (465,800 movements). This followed monthly decreases of 0.6% for December 2007 and 0.7% for January 2008.
