TREND ESTIMATES
  • Total job vacancies in May 2008 were 183,600, an increase of 1.1% from February 2008.
  • The number of job vacancies in the private sector was 164,400 in May 2008, an increase of 1.1% from February 2008.
  • The number of job vacancies in the public sector was 19,200 in May 2008, an increase of 1.0% from February 2008.

This is the final issue of Job Vacancies, Australia for 2008. The Survey of Job Vacancies will not be conducted during 2008-09. The survey may be reinstated in 2009-10.
