TREND ESTIMATES

The trend estimate for short-term visitor arrivals to Australia for November 2007 (473,100 movements) increased by 0.2% compared with October 2007 (472,100 movements). This followed monthly increases of 0.2% for September 2007 and 0.3% for October 2007.


Currently, short-term visitor arrivals are 0.9% higher than in November 2006.



SEASONALLY ADJUSTED ESTIMATES

The seasonally adjusted estimate for short-term visitor arrivals to Australia for November 2007 (478,900 movements) increased by 3.2% compared with October 2007 (464,100 movements). This followed a monthly increase of 0.6% for September 2007 and a monthly decrease of 2.7% for October 2007.
