ABOUT THIS PUBLICATION

This publication contains estimates of the quantity of grain held in grain storage facilities operated by the major bulk grain handling companies and grain traders in Australia as at 28 February 2007.

KEY POINTS

The total quantity of grain held in storage facilities operated by the major bulk grain handling companies at 28 February 2007 was 13.1 million tonnes. This 12% fall from the January level was the result of fairly uniform decreases in stocks of all grain types. The category of sorghum, other feed grains and pulses experienced the biggest relative change with a 19% decrease.
