COMMUNITY-BASED CORRECTIONS
Nationally, the rate of persons in community-based corrections was 343 persons per 100,000 adult population for the March quarter 2006. The rate for men was 570 per 100,000 adult male population, while for women it was 122 females per adult female population. Men were almost five times more likely to be in community-based corrections than women.
