In Victoria, winter cereals such as barley, oats and wheat are the principal crops grown in terms of area and production. In recent years, alternative winter crops such as canola and field peas have been introduced to crop rotation in areas where they had not previously been grown.

Victoria also produces a range of small-area intensive fruit and vegetable crops.
