BUILDING APPROVALS AUSTRALIA The trend estimate for Australia rose 2.5% in September. In seasonally adjusted terms the estimate rose 14.4% to 16,318 dwellings. NUMBER OF PRIVATE SECTOR HOUSES The trend estimate for private sector houses approved rose 0.5% in September. In seasonally adjusted terms the estimate rose 1.5% to 8,285 houses. NUMBER OF PRIVATE SECTOR DWELLINGS EXCLUDING HOUSES The trend estimate for private sector dwelling units excluding houses rose 5.6% in September. In seasonally adjusted terms the estimate rose 31.8% to 7,780 dwellings. VALUE OF NEW RESIDENTIAL BUILDING The trend estimate for the value of new residential building approved rose 2.3% in September and has risen for seven months. VALUE OF ALTERATIONS AND ADDITIONS TO RESIDENTIAL BUILDING The trend estimate for the value of alterations and additions to residential building rose 0.5% in September and has risen for two months. VALUE OF NON-RESIDENTIAL BUILDING The trend estimate for the value of non-residential building approved fell 2.5% in September and has fallen for five months.
