GLOSSARY

Clay Bricks

Saleable bricks (of all sizes) removed from kiln; excludes firebricks and bricks for other than structural purposes.

Clay bricks by Standard brick equivalent

The conversion of saleable bricks (of all sizes) to a standard common brick.

Plasterboard

Includes the total saleable production of plaster boards, sheets, panels, tiles and similar articles, not ornamented. The estimates exclude cornices, vents, mouldings and cornice adhesives based on plaster.

Portland cement

Includes blended Portland cement. Excludes both Portland cement clinker and Portland cement used to make blended Portland cement in-house.

Pre-mixed concrete

Excludes production used or for use within the same business.
