KEY POINTS

Gross value quarterly original movements for December 2017:
  • The gross value of sheep and lambs increased 8.5% to $1,039 million following a 3.4% decrease in the September 2017 quarter.
  • After a 1.0% increase last quarter, the gross value of cattle and calves decreased 11.2% in the December 2017 quarter.
  • After decreasing 2.9% last quarter, the gross value of pigs increased 0.1% to $295 million.
  • The gross value of poultry increased 4.7% to $706 million, following a 1.9% decrease in the September 2017 quarter.
