UNEMPLOYED PERSONS TREND ESTIMATES


MALES

The trend estimate of unemployed males fell from 347,800 in March 2000 to 342,000 in August 2000. The trend then rose to 392,000 in September 2001, before generally falling to 235,200 in March 2008. The trend then rose to 375,800 in July 2009 before falling to 335,200 in March 2010.

FEMALES

The trend estimate of unemployed females fell from 269,400 in March 2000 to 239,700 in September 2000. The trend then rose to 290,200 in October 2001, before generally falling to 226,900 in March 2008. The trend then rose to 289,000 in September 2009 before falling to 275,800 in March 2010.

PERSONS

The trend estimate of unemployed persons fell from 617,100 in March 2000 to 582,900 in September 2000. The trend then rose to 682,100 in October 2001, before generally falling to 462,100 in March 2008. The trend then rose to 662,300 in July 2009 before falling to 611,000 in March 2010.
