EMPLOYED PERSONS TREND ESTIMATES


MALES

The trend estimate of employed males generally rose from 4,998,000 in March 2000 to 5,916,800 in September 2008. The trend then fell to 5,849,100 in May 2009 before rising to 6,004,700 in March 2010.

FEMALES

The trend estimate of employed females generally rose from 3,917,800 in March 2000 to 4,246,200 in April 2003, before falling to 4,240,600 in November 2003. The trend then rose to 4,925,900 in April 2009 before falling to 4,921,000 in July 2009. The trend has since risen to 4,987,200 in March 2010.

PERSONS

The trend estimate of employed persons generally rose from 8,915,700 in March 2000 to 10,810,600 in October 2008. The trend then fell to 10,773,900 in May 2009 before rising to 10,991,900 in March 2010.
